We had a great first week of school!
-Tomorrow, Monday, Sept. 1 is a holiday so there will be no school for students. Again tomorrow there is no school for students.
-If students are car riders in the morning, starting Tuesday morning all students in grades Pre-K - 5th grade will need to be dropped off in the car rider line. Parents will need to go through the car rider line to drop students off.
-Dismissal time can be a very busy time so please follow these guidelines so that we make sure all students get to where they need to be.
-Transportation Changes: If your child has a transportation change you will need to call the office and all transportation changes will need to be made by 2:00 PM.
-Early Check-Out: Please do not check out students after 2:15 PM unless it is an emergency. If your child has an appointment after school please have them checked out by 2:15 PM.
-Car Rider Tags - Please hold them up or have them hanging in a way so the staff member calling names can see them. If they are on the dashboard they are not easy to see and sometimes the last name can not be seen. Thank you for helping with this!
-Bus Riders - Parents please make sure your child is out at their bus stop 10 minutes before their pick up time and you are at their bus stop to get them 10 minutes before their drop off time in the afternoon. Students need to be ready to get on the bus in the morning so the drivers are able to arrive back to school on time.
-Morning and afternoon car riders - Parents please do not turn around in private driveways on Tabernacle School Rd. There is a cul-de-sac at the end of the road that you can turn around in.
-Reminder:
-For the first two weeks of school we will not have any parents or visitors eating lunch with students. It helps to have no visitors during lunch for the first two weeks so students will have time to get in the routine with the schedule and procedures, thank you for understanding.
-Instruction starts at 7:50 AM - If you drop your child off after 7:50 AM you will need to park, walk your child into the building and sign your child in. They will be counted tardy after 7:50 AM. Also, our cafeteria staff cannot serve breakfast after 8:05 AM. If your child comes in after this time you will need to make sure they have had breakfast.
-If your child is in Kindergarten and you have not turned in their Kindergarten Health Assessment please make sure you do so by September 23. After this date students will be suspended starting on September 24 until their Health Assessment is turned in. If you have any questions please call the school and ask for our school Nurse, Mrs. Blevins.
-For more information regarding any of these announcements, please contact the school at 336-629-3533.
